Luminaqua is a charming top down adventure where a lost lonely dolphin uses echolocation to navigate a dangerous environment.
On this game I created:
The UI except the title, including buttons, menus, and small UI animations, created in Photoshop and Unity
All background and environment assets, painted in Photoshop.
Working with a team of 7, it was a great opportunity to use my UI and drawing skills in collaboration with programmers, game designers, and other artists while facing tight deadlines.
Here are some images showcasing what I worked on.
Title screen, where I created/animated/set up the UI buttons
In-game dialogue UI art + animations I made in Photoshop/Unit
Character portraits were drawn by Sydney Kitchen.
The “How to Play” section, where players can skim the game’s controls. The button icons were made in Illustrator, with the rest assembled in Photoshop/Unity.
The settings/accessibility screen, where the color of various game assets can be changed, intended to assist players affected by colorblindness.
